The Big Listen ended production in May 2018. While this site is no longer updated, all the content remains available for archive purposes.
If you’ve ever ventured down the aisles of your local bookstore, you’ll know that there are about a million self-help titles — ”Peace From Broken Pieces,” “Living Through The Meantime” and “Get Over It!” And those are just from one author (shoutout Iyanla Vanzant, please fix my life).
But if you’re like me, you don’t know anyone who actually admits to reading any of them. Except the hosts of the podcast “By The Book.”
But not to worry! Friends Jolenta Greenberg and Kristen Meinzer are reading them so you don’t have to. On each episode, they live by the rules of a different popular self-help book, like “The Secret” or “French Women Don’t Get Fat.” Then they report on the (often hilarious) results.
