Hey pals!
Over the past year, The Big Listen has connected you with some of the biggest names in podcasting — Malcolm Gladwell, Katie Couric, LeVar Burton, Jonathan Groff and Larry Wilmore, to name a few. But we’ve never done it live and direct…until now!
Join The Big Listen host Lauren Ober on Thursday, January 25 for an intimate evening of interviews, storytelling, live music and more featuring NPR’s Sam Sanders from It’s Been A Minute with Sam Sanders. Sam will take us back to the days before he became a radio star when he was just a skinny kid growing up in west Texas. Then we’ll give him a proper D.C. send-off before he heads back to California and NPR West.
We’ll also be joined by storytelling phenom and creator of the Dispatches podcast, Morgan Givens. Plus, we’ll test your knowledge of NPR and podcast hosts in a little game we’re calling “A Face For Radio.”
Come for the conversation; stay for the storytelling, music and games. Oh, and beer. Free beer.
